A great start to the New Year

At the end of last year Thame Midsomer Tours made their largest charitable donation since the tours began. Thame Museum was once again one of the recipients along with two of the Mayor’s Charities. Each recieved £1,500.

The image above shows Tony Long, tour coordinator, handing a cheque to our Chair of Thame Museum, Phil Williams. Also in the picture are some of the tour guides.

Thousands of Midsomer fans and tourists from around the world have now taken the Midsomer Walking Tour since the tours begain eight years ago. These ever-popular tours have resulted in raising over £16,000 of charitable donations.

Thame is one of the most filmed locations, sometimes appearing as Causton, sometimes as one of the many picturesque villages in Midsomer County. The tour covers all of the 23 Midsomer filmed locations in Thame.

The Tours will re-start on Wednesday 1st April and run every Wednesday until 28th October 2026. There will also be tours every Saturday from 6th June until 26th September. The tours last around 90 minutes starting at 2pm from outside Thame Town Hall and finishing at the Museum, where you will have time to browse our gift shop and purchase some of the unique Midsomer souvenirs.
