The museum is a 3 minute walk from the Town Hall. Just walk down High Street away from the front doors of the town hall until you reach the double roundabout. The museum welcome flags will be very visible when you get there – be careful crossing the road!!
Access for people with disabilities
The whole Museum is fully accessible to non-motorised wheelchair users. The Museum also has an adapted toilet.
Arriving By Car
From Oxford take the A418 towards Thame. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Oxford Road and follow signs to Thame Town Centre. Thame Museum is on the left after the sharp bend.
From Aylesbury and Haddenham & Thame Parkway follow the A418 towards Thame. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Aylesbury road. Turn right (third exit) at the next roundabout leading onto Bell Lane. At the end of the road turn right onto the the High Street, Thame Museum is on your right.
Parking
There is parking in Thame. Free parking can be found close to the Museum on the surrounding streets and there are several car parks within easy reach (see the blue boxes on the map)
Public Transport
By Bus. Bus services, operated by Arriva and Redline Buses, run frequently between Aylesbury and Thame and Oxford and Thame. There are bus stops outside the Museum.
By Train. Haddenham and Thame Parkway is on the London to Birmingham line, operated by Chiltern Railways. For discounted group travel bookings try Trainline.
You can take an Arriva bus from the station into the town.
