The Shop Window
Throughout the year the Shop Window in reception holds various displays from our store cupboard collections. This month we are celebrating the 80th anniversary of Thame Players
This brand new display is situated in the Museum Reception area, with items from the museum’s own collection of posters and programmes from previous productions and also props kindly lent for the display by the Players. Look out for Aladdin’s lamp, a treasure chest from “Jack and the Beanstalk” and a bird in a cage from “Tom Jones”.
Thame Players has over 150 members, based at the Players Theatre in Nelson Street, Thame. Every year. the Players put on a range of productions including dramas, musicals, comedies and pantomime. The theatre also hosts visiting shows including singers and comedians, and holds regular social evenings for members.
